The 2018 season will be Matt's second as co-captain of the Oliver Ames baseball team. A three-year starter, Matt moved over from second base to shortstop for his junior year. He has now been part of three OA teams that qualified for the MIAA tournament. Matt was named 2016 Hockomock League Underclassmen of the Year by Hockomock Sports. An Easton native, Matt began his baseball career at Easton Youth Baseball as a member of the Orioles, playing his last two years with his fellow co-captain, Mitch Goulet. Matt played summer baseball for three seasons with Nokona USA, including tournaments in Lake Point, GA, Nashville and Charleston SC. He has also played for the Easton Legion team along with many of his OA teammates. Matt was invited to try out for the Northeast Area Code Games team following his sophomore season. During the summer of 2016, Matt traveled to the Dominican Republic with players from around the US to participate in the Dominican Baseball Camp. Off the field, Matt is a National Honor Society member and a starting guard on the OA basketball team. After he finishes his high school career, Matt plans to continue his baseball career at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Mitch Goulet

Mitchell has been a member of the Varsity since his freshman year, qualifying for the MIAA tournament all three years. He contributed his freshman and sophomore years on the mound and in the outfield. He also started at second base as a junior. Mitchell began his baseball career at Easton Youth Baseball and was a three-year member of the Orioles, teaming up with his fellow co-captain Matt Muir. He was a member of 4 straight summer all-star teams that won league championships. His Cal Ripken career was capped with a dominating HR derby championship at the 12-year old state championship where Easton dropped a 1-0 decision in the state championship game. Mitch then helped lead his Easton all-star team to a Top 8 finish at the national 104-team tournament at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Mitch has played club baseball for the Garciaparra Baseball Group (GBG) Hawks the past 4 seasons including participating in the 16u Perfect Game World Series in LakePoint, Georgia. Mitch has also participated in Winter Track for Oliver Ames. He will continue his baseball career at St. Michaels College in Colchester, Vermont after graduation.
